Kyiv, the information session “Academy of Public Activism: Opportunities and Benefits for Participants” took place on March 4th at 13:00 in Ukrinform. Representatives of the East Europe Foundation, Internews Ukraine, the United States Agency for International Development and the Ukrainian government spoke about why it is worth applying for the program, what are its features, what it offers to participants and what is the role of NGOs for Ukraine’s further development.
The development of the public sector in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts is significantly complicated by the armed conflict and the economic situation in the region. That is why the south-eastern region has become a target for the program. Participation in the program of representatives of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts and the city of Kherson is of special value given the need to strengthen Ukrainian positions and establish ties with the population of the occupied territories.
